CD: East Volume Lotus

The success of the first 'East' compilation, Volume Ginger, was overwhelming and it had to be re-pressed several times within a very short time. The second issue, Volume Jasmin, entered the German chill-out charts directly at number six and stayed within the top ten for over 12 weeks! And now it's time for part three - Volume Lotus. DJ Ping, also known for his compilation series City Beach Club, was responsible for the music selection and mixing. On these two CDs he showcases his unique sound and combines some pearls out of lounge, downbeat, deep-house, tech-house and electronica. Next to his own two tracks, lots of other delicate tracks are served on this compilation: on the Lounge side, there are artists like Flamingo Star, Eriq Johnson, Deep Dive Corp., Razoof, the Jean Michel Jarre and a very interesting unreleased cover version of the Depeche Mode classic 'Enjoy the Silence'. The Bar side starts with relaxed house beats and builds up step by step until the end. It features tracks by Lenny Ibizarre (one of the most successful producers from Ibiza), Razoof, Yann Solo, Ross Couch, Niki B and Christian E.F.F.E (whose track sounds a bit like Moby), Layo and Bushwacka with Green Velvet, John Acquaviva and Makossa and Megablast. Another timeless selection of lounge and house pearls - unique sounds for a unique location!"
