Purple & Gold is a lushly romantic album, painting dreamscapes that invoke visions of love won and lost in a Celtic landscape. Enam, an established European musician, has been playing accordion, guitar and organ since he was young. He has an appreciation for various musical styles, and is particularly accomplished on the African djembe. Most of Enam's compositions do not have lyrics; rather, they contain combinations of pronounced sounds that combine to invoke a special atmosphere. Purple & Gold is a masterpiece of haunting melodies and vocals.
